The Department of Economics, Management and Statistics of the University of Milan-Bicocca invites expressions of interest to fill a tenure-track position of Senior Assistant Professor (AP) in Economics (RtdB, SECS-P/01 Economia Politica). The Department of Economics, Management and Statistics of the University of Milan-Bicocca invites expressions of interest to fill a tenure-track position of Senior Assistant Professor (AP) in Economics (RtdB, SECS-P/01 Economia Politica). We welcome applications from candidates with a strong research track-record in any field of Economics.
Eligible candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Economics and must have at least 3 years of academic experience since the completion of their Ph.D. (post-doc or assistant professor) or hold the Italian Qualification as Associate Professor. According to the Italian university rules, applicants currently working abroad and holding an equivalent academic position (assistant professor) at their current university for at least 3 years, can qualify for a "direct appointment" (‘chiamata diretta dall’estero’) to fill this senior AP position.
The senior AP is a short tenure-track position and Associate Professorship will be granted after 3 years, subject to a positive departmental evaluation and to holding the Italian National Qualification as Associate Professor.
Teaching load for AP is about 60 hours (per year) and starting date will be by June 2023 upon mutual agreement.
Starting total gross salary is about € 58,600 per year, which includes basic salary of € 43,600 plus a top-up fellowship of € 15,000 per year funded by the UniCredit Foundation for 3 years. The successful candidate will be also appointed UniCredit Foundation Fellow and Alumnus Marco Fanno.
Candidates (of any nationality) who have been resident outside Italy for the last 2 years will benefit from a six-year tax exemption on 90 percent of the salary (which can be extended up to 13 years).
