Quality Assurance of Teaching

The Quality Assurance (QA) system for teaching is described in detail on the dedicated Quality Assurance webpage on the University of Milano Bicocca website.

A central role in the QA process is also played by the Department Joint Committee of Professors and Students that performs the following functions.

The other key stakeholders are:

  • The Departmental Quality Assurance officer for Teaching (Prof. Paolo Tedeschi) acts as a liaison between the PQA and other departmental bodies or committees, assisting them in carrying out the tasks involved in the quality management of teaching.
  • The Quality Assurance Group for each degree programme is responsible for:
    • Responsibilities include drafting the Annual Summary Report and the Annual Monitoring Report;
    • drafting the Cyclical Review Report, monitoring the achievement of objectives;
    • analysing data on student feedback;
    • monitoring, also in light of the annual report of the Joint Staff-Student Committee, the progress of students' careers, satisfaction upon completion of the programme and the employment status of graduates through the analysis of external databases;
    • verifying the alignment between proposed educational activities and employment demands, including through meetings with social partners
